Thrain is an alien stargazer encountered during the events of Rift SMP. They possess ice creation and manipulation abilities, and are known for being secretive and withholding information from the players.
Background
Thrain arrived on the planet alongside Olethros and Ceric after the Calamity interfered with their ship, causing it to crash. While the other aliens eventually opened up to the players, Thrain remained distant, prioritising protocol above all else.
Abilities
Thrain has demonstrated some form of ice creation and manipulation powers. The full extent of these abilities remains unknown.
Relationships
- Olethros - Thrain frequently clashed with Olethros over his interactions with the players, telling him to stop.
- Eight - Thrain is somehow keeping Eight alive through means not yet understood.
- The Calamity - Thrain appears to have some kind of past connection with the Calamity.
History
First Contact
Thrain initially operated invisibly, drawing blood samples from players for research. When their invisibility device was damaged during a chase, their identity was revealed.
Anti-Thrain Coalition
After Thrain attempted to kill UltraPiran when provoked, the players formed the ATC (Anti-Thrain Coalition) in response.
Thrain's Tower
Overnight, Thrain constructed a spiky fortress in the frozen wasteland. Players discovered their collected samples inside.
